So it seems I’ve been stricken with a severe case of wanderlust, bordering on vacilando.
Basically, I’ve come to the point where I’m so very tempted to essentially give up on everything I’ve built and take some time to just get out there and experience life.
Having watched Rent last weekend, I appreciated the carefree and live-savouring style in which the characters lived their lives. Now, granted, they were all in the position to have to live their lives to the fullest—most of them were HIV+ and didn’t know when “the virus [would] take hold.”
But still, none of us know when our lives will be demanded from us (Luke 12:16-21)—isn’t it wise that we live our lives to the fullest today, not waiting until we have accomplished a certain amount of savings, family, or other goals?
What’s stopping you, me or anybody else from doing that, aside from the love of material objects?
I’m torn. Maybe my upcoming Maui trip will help cure this… I guess I’ll know more at the beginning of May. I’ll try and post something… that is, if I haven’t already headed out on my adventures!
